The Waldent Orthodontic Wire and Bracket Chairside Combo Kit brings together the six instruments a bonding or adjustment appointment actually needs, so the tray is built once rather than assembled from separate purchases. The bracket holder with aligner seats the bracket at the correct height and angulation, the pin and ligature cutter trims ligature ends close to the wing, and the hard wire cutter handles stainless steel archwire at the bench. Intraorally the distal end cutter trims the archwire behind the last buccal tube and retains the cut fragment, after which the cinch back pliers turn the end down so it cannot slide forward and irritate the cheek. The straight bracket remover completes the cycle at debonding. Cutting instruments carry tungsten carbide inserts, which hold an edge through repeated wire cutting far longer than plain stainless steel beaks.
